Celebrating Italian heritage with Saint Ubaldo Day in Jessup

JESSUP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local tradition that traces its roots half way across the world to the 12th century, the annual celebration of Saint Ubaldo Day pays homage to local Italian heritage.

The Race of the Saints has been happening for decades in Jessup.

Year after year, the spectacle draws thousands of people along the streets to watch, and this year was no different.

1 woman dead, former PSU WR injured, after ATV crash

COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, BRADFORD COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say a woman is dead and a man is seriously injured after an ATV crash Friday night in Bradford County.

In a release, troopers say before 8:15 p.m., authorities were called to Painter Lick Lane in Columbia Township Friday night after an ATV crash.

State police explain that the ATV was traveling Northbound on Painter Lick Lane when it struck a deer that jumped out into the roadway.
