Mother accused of injuring infant son

WRIGHT TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Investigators are charging a mother after she allegedly injured her 4-month-old son at her home in Luzerne County.

According to the Wright Township Police Department, officers were called for a domestic dispute that involved Jazmine Clapper, 20, of Tennessee, who investigators later learned had an ongoing case with the Luzerne County Children & Youth Services.

(WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has launched a new text messaging service that will offer motorists real-time communication during unexpected traffic backlogs.

If you are in a traffic backlog, you can text 47676 and will receive automated, location-specific information about the incident, anticipated clearance times, and roadway updates.

Tractor-trailer driver charged after hit-and-run on I-80

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is facing charges after police say he hit a pedestrian on I-80 with his tractor-trailer, then fled the scene.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on March 21, troopers were called to Interstate 80 East at mile marker 257.1 in Butler Township for a crash involving a pedestrian.

On the scene, police stated they spoke with a driver who informed them that a tractor-trailer, driven by Aziz Bello, 50, of Allentown, had hit a pedestrian.

2025 Party on the Patio lineup announced

PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The free concert series Party on the Patio at the Mohegan Pennsylvania Casino 2025 lineup has been announced.

Tribute concerts will be held at the casino on Thursdays for 20 weeks starting May 1 and ending September 11.
