LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— On this week's Veterans Voices, we meet a Navy rescue swimmer from Luzerne County who teaches military members how to survive life-or-death scenarios at sea.
And surviving extreme conditions at sea is something this veteran knows first hand.
Crestwood High graduate Bill Gibson is an elite rescue swimmer.
The retired Navy veteran is so good, he teaches the next generation of aviation rescue swimmers to survive the worst possible situations, but it didn't start off that way.

FISHING CREEK TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after 12 chickens were stole from a coop on July 5.
According to the release, troopers say that they were called to Ridge Road for a report of a theft of chickens.
Officials say that after investigation, it was determined that between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., three Hispanic men wearing ski masks broke into the victims chicken coop and stole around 12 assorted breed of chickens.

(WBRE/WYOU)— The 9-1-1 outage that was affecting 9-1-1 centers across Pennsylvania has been resolved according the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).
PEMA announced just before midnight on Friday that the outage affecting the Next-Generation 911 (NG911) has been resolved after an almost 10-hour outage.
