Walk With Ease program supports arthritis relief

LEWISBURG — The Lewisburg YMCA, in partnership with the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging Inc., is offering a new session of the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk With Ease program. This free initiative is open to local residents ages 60 and older and is designed to reduce arthritis-related pain and improve overall health.

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – Deputies in Michigan say multiple fire vehicles and a sheriff's office cruiser were hit Thursday morning as they were responding to a crash in Comstock Township.

The original crash took place on eastbound I-94 near the 80.5 mile marker, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office. No one was hurt in that crash.

First responders were assisting when a 24-foot box truck jackknifed on the interstate while driving toward the scene.

Biden scraps rest of sentence for disgraced Kids-for-Cash judge

(WBRE/WYOU) — Former Luzerne County judge Michael Conahan, who was sentenced for his role in the infamous Kids-for-Cash scandal in September of 2011, had his sentence commuted Thursday by President Joe Biden.

According to the White House, President Biden granted clemency consisting of 39 pardons and the commutations of 1,499 others.

Travel delays expected for Our Lady of Guadalupe Procession

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBREE/WYOU) — Mayor George C. Brown reminds travelers of delays Thursday afternoon.

According to a press release, there will be delays in South Wilkes-Barre and Downtown Wilkes-Barre between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, due to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Procession.

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its doors for the first Kingston location on Thursday, December 12.

Located on Market Street, the restaurant will feature the brand’s signature Chipotlane, a drive-thru pick-up lane that allows guests to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars.

Chipotle is currently hiring at the Kingston location and across the U.S.
