Veterans honored at 2nd Annual DA's Veterans Brunch

PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Veterans and their families are being honored in northeastern Pennsylvania for their service and sacrifices.

Nearly 300 veterans from Luzerne County and some as far away as 100 miles gathered on Sunday at the Woodlands.

The Second Annual District Attorney's Veterans Brunch featured a continental brunch, keynote speakers, and prayer.

Weinberg CEO Northeast Regional Food Bank completed its 45th Annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution on Sunady near Wilkes-Barre.

The concern centers on roads near Mohegan Arena where the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is performing the second of two shows Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Crews battling second alarm fire in Northampton County

UPPER MOUNT BETHEL, NORTHAMPTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Crews were called to the Chelsea Sun Inn Sunday morning for a structure fire.

According to the Northampton County 911, crews from Northampton County, Monroe County and Warren County, New Jersey were called the 400 block of Stone Church Road for a reported 2nd alarm structure fire around 8:30 a.m.

Officials state there have been no reported injuries and that everyone got out safely.

Crews are still on-scene battling the fire.

Upper Mount Bethel Fire Department is heading the response.
