Full Steam Staffing opens new location in Wilkes-Barre

EDWARDSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new job staffing service is now in Luzerne County. Thursday afternoon the company hosted a ribbing cutting at its new office in Edwardsville.

Full Steam Staffing, FSS for short, opened a new location at the Gateway Plaza in Edwardsville.

The Chief Operating Officer of FSS says they are very happy to be in this new location and area to help connect people and businesses.

Thanksgiving Project begins at Luzerne County food bank

JENKINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and one local organization is lending a helping hand to families in need in NEPA.

The Commission on Economic Opportunity, better known as CEO, is gearing up for its 45 annual Thanksgiving food distribution.

CEO is planning on feeding around 10,000 families this thanksgiving.

These boxes will be given back to families in need in our area with the help of CEO's Thanksgiving project.

50th anniversary of UFO crash legend in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — There's an urban legend dating back to the 70s about a UFO crashing into a pond in Carbondale and its 50th anniversary is Thursday!

Police activity shuts down road in Monroe County

EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Law enforcement stated a road in East Stroudsburg was shut down due to police activity.

According to the Stroud Area Regional Police Department, on November 8 around 4:00 p.m., West Broad Street between Walnut and Elizabeth Street was closed for a police incident.

Police did not give details on the incident that caused the roadway to close.

Wayne County DA search for wanted man

DYBERRY TWP., WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Wayne County District Attorney’s Office is searching for a man wanted on theft deception charges.

Authorities say they are attempting to locate Anthony J. Fox, who is wanted on theft by deception charges for an incident that took place in Dyberry Township, Wayne County.

Search for Powerball winner, lottery ticket expiring soon

Police described Fox as 5’11”, 185 lbs with brown hair and eyes and he possibly resides in Nanticoke or Wilkes-Barre.
