COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) says an "Intersection Improvement Project" is only one of the scheduled projects crews are set to work on Monday, April 1 in Columbia County.
According to PennDOT an "Intersection Improvement Project" is scheduled to begin next week at the intersection of Route 42 (Mall Boulevard) and Route 4003 (Frosty Valley Road) in Hemlock Township, Columbia County.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that on Tuesday, March 12, Vincent Shaffer, 44, of Schuylkill County, was indicted by a federal grand jury for possession of child pornography.

According to detectives, for seven months the Columbia County Drug Task Force investigated methamphetamine being sold from a motorcycle shop known as American Cycle Fabrication in Bloomsburg.

According to PennDOT drivers should be advised of lane restrictions scheduled for this week on I-80 in both directions in Hemlock Township, Columbia County, due to a sign project.

BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was arrested after police say he was found with 29 pills of fentanyl and various other drug items.
According to the Bloomsburg Police Department, on November 19 around 1:47 p.m., officers conducted a "mere encounter" on a driver at the Unity Mart in the 300 block of East Seventh Street.
Upon further investigation, police stated the driver, Shawn Spink, had two warrants out of Monroe and Schuylkill counties.
