After a preliminary hearing, a judge finds enough evidence exists to try Vincent Harp on charges that he killed his wife in June

COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The man accused of murdering his wife is in court Monday, facing charges including homicide and abuse of corpse.

On Monday, around 10:00 a.m., 37-year-old Vincent Harp was brought to the Columbia County Court for a hearing. 

The hearing lasted for two and a half hours, with the district judge ruling there was enough evidence to send the case to court for trial. 

Harp is accused of murdering 33-year-old Katlyn Harp and then placing her body in a box and hiding it in a wooded area of Columbia County.

BERWICK, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Golfers are back on the fairway after a summer storm dealt a setback to a local golf course. The flood damage happened last week in Columbia County.

After last week's torrential rains, members of Berwick Golf Club seemed unfazed by Sunday's quick storm.

The Bloomsburg High School marching band has been collecting money to perform in the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii.     They were the only group from Pennsylvania asked to take part in the national event.

75-year-old Jerry Slowick of Berwick died after the crash at an intersection of State Route 93 in Briar Creek Borough.

BRIAR CREEK, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A 75-year-old man is dead after a crash Friday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).

Troopers say that 75-year-old Jerry Slowick of Berwick died at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after succumbing to his injuries for a crash in Briar Creek.

According to the release, troopers responded to the intersection of State Route 93 and Rittenhouse Mill Road for a motor vehicle crash with injury.
