Drivers dies, lost control due to icy roads

JACKSON TWP., COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a driver has died after they crashed their vehicle due to icy road conditions.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on February 9, around 2:00 p.m., troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash with entrapment on Pole Bridge Road in Jackson Township, Columbia County.

Homeless encampments cleared out of public park

BERWICK, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Concerns over health and safety led to the clearing of several homeless encampments in Columbia County Monday afternoon.

The camps were along the river at a popular area park.

Volunteers and borough officials gathered at Berwick's Test Track Park to clean up and clear out several homeless encampments.

N Market St. in Berwick reopens after water main break

BERWICK, COLUMBIA COUNTY — PennDOT says North Market Street has reopened after being closed in both directions for hours Monday due to a water main break.

Authorities say between East 13th Street and East 14th Street was closed due to a water main break.

PennDOT announced the road reopened at 5:10 p.m. Monday afternoon.
