PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Several families are out of their homes Sunday after flames tore through a Luzerne County apartment building.
Firefighters say it started around 7:00 p.m. Sunday in a shed on East Main Street in Plymouth.
It then spread quickly to apartments above.
Firefighters from Plymouth, Larksville, and neighboring departments were on scene until just before 10:00 p.m.

JIM THORPE, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — There are new details on a raging fire tearing through hundreds of acres of land in Carbon County. It's been more than 24 hours since the wildfire started Saturday afternoon.
Fire crews are still at work trying to control this brush fire that has burned through hundreds of acres of land.
Bright-burning flames could be seen scattered all across the mountain in Jim Thorpe.
What started as a small fire at the base of Bear Mountain quickly traveled up to the ridge and evolved into a massive fire spanning well over 600 acres.

MAHONING TOWNSHIP, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is investigating a Carbon County incident where a man is dead and another was hospitalized after they were found by their coworkers to have overdosed in a pizzeria.
Troopers say on Saturday, April 19, at about 6:15 p.m., the PSP Lehighton barracks got a request from the Carbon County District Attorney's Office to assume the lead in an investigation.

DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — In Luzerne County, an Easter Sunday Brunch served hundreds of people. It was all food, faith, and family fun at The Greens at Irem Clubhouse in Dallas.
The club's Third Annual Grand Easter Buffet featured prime rib and salmon at the carving station, plus kid-friendly favorites and plenty of sweet treats.
Organizers say the carrot cake and cheesecake were also big crowd favorites.

CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — According to a Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) spokesperson, crews are still on-scene battling a brush fire that started Saturday afternoon.
Jake Novitsky, spokesperson for the DCNR, stated that, a brush fire broke out near the Jim Thorpe market around 4:30 p.m. Saturday along Bear Mountain.
Since then, crews have been working around the clock to get the fire under control.
