VIDEO: RV engulfed in flames in Schuylkill County

COALDALE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Coaldale firefighters were on the scene for hours at a fire that broke out in an RV Sunday morning.

Officials say the Coaldale Fire Department was called at 11:30 a.m. to the 100 block of East Water Street in Coaldale for a reported fire.

In a video shared with 28/22 News by Channel 1 News, a tower of smoke could be seen pouring out from an RV.

Crews could be seen in the video arriving on scene and working to put out the blaze.

Police investigating shots fired in Scranton

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Police are investigating an early morning report of shots fired in Scranton.

According to the Scranton Police Department, police were called to the 100 block of West Market Street in Scranton for a reports of shots fired just after 2:00 a.m.

Juvenile arrested in possession of altered automatic weapon

Officials say no injuries were reported, and it appears to be an isolated incident.

Scranton Police are still investigating multiple leads of the shots fired.

Juvenile charged with possession of altered automatic weapon

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A juvenile was arrested in Lackawanna County on multiple drug and weapons charges.

According to the Lackawanna County District Attorney's Office, a 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested after allegedly possessing multiple altered automatic weapons and fentanyl.

According to District Attorney Brian Gallagher, an undercover law enforcement agent purchased fentanyl from the juvenile's home on the 900 block of Prescott Avenue.

Woman dead after fatal fire in Luzerne County

AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Sunday morning fatal house fire is under investigation in Luzerne County.

The Luzerne County Coroner's Office stated they responded to the 600 block of Main Street for a woman dead after a house fire.

According to the Avoca Fire Department, a call for a reported structure came in just after 5:00 a.m.

High levels of 'forever chemicals' found in private well water in Columbia County

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) confirms groundwater in North Centre Township has dangerous levels of PFAS.
