DEER LAKE BOROUGH, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say a man is dead after he was killed while checking under the hood of a car in Schuylkill County.
In a release, PSP explains that it happened around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday on Route 61 in Deer Lake.
State police say 58-year-old Eduardo Barcenas-Moncada of Shenandoah was outside of the car when a pickup truck slammed into the car.
Traffic flows again on Interstate 81 N after multi-vehicle crash

DUPONT, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Traffic is now flowing again for a major artery after what authorities say was a crash involving multiple vehicles Sunday evening.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says a multi-vehicle crash happened on Interstate 81 Northbound, almost a mile south of Exit 178, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, a little after 6:35 p.m.
Officials add there was a lane restriction in the area at mile marker 177.
Two dead, one in hospital after Hazleton shooting
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Call it "Touch a Truck" with a twist: Families gathered on Sunday on the campus of Johnson College for an event called Truck and Cruiser Palooza.
Kids were able to check out all kinds of vehicles, including utility trucks, fire trucks, and even a COLTS bus. Some of what they could touch or even climb into included muscle cars.
The event helps raise funds for Johnson College's Skills USA Club.

The 109th Field Artillery formally cased its colors, and the 28th Division Artillery rolled out its own.

(WBRE/WYOU) — The assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk is having an impact in northeastern Pennsylvania. Crowds gathered on Sunday in both Scranton and Wilkes-Barre to honor him and call for change.
People who showed up to both events were able to sign a sympathy card for Kirk's family as well as a petition to end political violence.
Roughly 50 people showed up to Courthouse Square in Downtown Scranton to honor someone they admired.
Kirk, the late political activist, was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — At least two people are dead and one is in the hospital after a shooting incident that police responded to in Hazleton Saturday evening.
According to a release from the Hazleton City Police Department, officers were dispatched to Hilltop Apartments around 5:15 p.m. for a report of a victim with a gunshot wound.
Officials state that two victims were found with gunshot wounds when officers arrived. One victim was transported to the hospital for their injuries. The victim's condition is unknown at this time.
