HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A driver is facing charges after police say they ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.

On July 28, around 11:30 p.m., officers saw a crash occur at the intersection of North Church Street and West Green Street.

Officers said a vehicle traveling North on North Church Street ran a red light at the intersection, causing it to hit another vehicle that was turning.

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is wanted in connection with a stabbing that took place over the weekend in Scranton.

Police say they were called for an incident outside of a home on East Locust Street around 7:30 p.m. on July 27.

Death investigation underway in Luzerne County

According to the Scranton Police Department, a woman was stabbed during a domestic dispute, and the suspect, 38-year-old Paul McGowan, fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to the hospital and later released, while McGowan remains at large.

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A death investigation is underway in Luzerne County Tuesday evening.

A body was found around 3:00 p.m. off of Navy Way Road near the airport in Dupont Borough, according to Luzerne County Coroner Dion Fernandes.

Pennsylvania State Police and the Travis Manion Foundation teamed up to hold a community workout at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre.

The Travis Manion Foundation was named in honor of First Lieutenant Travis Manion, who was killed in action in April 2007.

The foundation aims to help younger generations be more involved in their communities.

Motorcycle driver dies after collision with truck

HAZLE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Luzerne County Coroner has identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash.

According to the coroner, 37-year-old Heath Houseknecht of West Hazleton was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Hazle Township at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

It's gotten so bad that a casket in the mausoleum is now exposed. You can see it from the outside of the mausoleum.
