What happens at the airport if I don't have a Real ID?

AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Beginning today, you will need a Real ID to get into some government buildings and to pass through airport security.

But what if you still don't have one?

28/22 News asked that very question for travelers at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

After years of delays, the Real ID enforcement is here.

“Hearing it on the radio and the TV, trying to get everyone prepared, I guess,” said Timothy Green of Florida.

May 7, the day that celebrates the 570 area code and the people who live in the area.

Organizers say that the NEPA area, which makes up 570, features a beautiful area to live and work, and play.

'Justice for Jessica', manhunt continues for homicide suspect

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — "Justice for Jessica:" That's what family and friends of murder victim 39-year-old Jessica Lockwood from the Hazleton area say they want to see.

A manhunt is underway right now for her alleged killer, 55-year-old Terence Ray.

Lockwood's body was found burning along a Hazleton road last week.

Law enforcement sources tell 28/22 News they are working around the clock to track down Terence Ray to get "Justice for Jessica."

Celebrating Cinco De Mayo in Wilkes-Barre Township

WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Dozens of people came to celebrate Cinco De Mayo at El Rey Azteca in Wilkes-Barre Township Monday evening.

The restaurant features dozens of authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

New to the celebration this year is a six foot tall robot that sprayed confetti while dancing on stilts along with aztec dancers.

Owners say the celebration has been growing each year.

WATCH: Police name suspect in Hazleton homicide investigation

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have named a suspect in the murder of a Luzerne County woman and say they are right now searching for him. 55-year-old Terance Ray from Hazleton is wanted for the murder of 39-year-old Jessica Lockwood.

Her body was found burning along a road in Hazleton last week.

The district attorney and police held a news conference on Monday, which can be found below.

Police say Terance Ray should be considered armed and very dangerous, and investigators say he fled the area.

Pilots learning the skill of flying drones

PITTSTON TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Drones are growing in popularity, and one academy in the area is making sure pilots are well-educated on its laws and safety regulations.

28/22 News stopped by the new school and has more on how it prepares those to hit the skies.

It's an "all clear" for take-off at The Pilot Mind Drone Academy in Pittston Township.

The facility is a combination of a drone laboratory and a drone playground, training students on how to fly drones as well as overall knowledge of aviation.
