Students showcase robots in first ever Robo Rally in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Local students are showing off their high-tech skills at the first-ever Robo Rally in Luzerne County. It's all about highlighting robotics and STEM education.

Multiple schools came together at the Wilkes-Barre Area High School for the event.

Teams from the high schools, Dallas, Tunkhannock, and Honesdale, all showcased their student-built robots.

While it may look like they're gathering for a battle of the best bots. Organizers say it wasn't a competition.

Cruisin' for a Cause with vintage cars in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — What a weekend to wax up those vintage rides and show them off in the bright sunshine. That is what some folks did on Saturday, in Wilkes-Barre, for a classic and custom car show called Cruisin' for a Cause.

On display were American muscle cars, classics, and JDMs, which stands for Japanese Domestic Market.

The first-time event at Toyota Sportsplex benefits United Way of Wyoming Valley.

United Way got some help from Unit 124, which works with charities and non-profits through events in the car scene.

Luzerne County walk raises funds for cancer patients, families

FORTY FORT, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A big event this time of year aims to help battle a leading cause of death. Some great weather greeted a huge crowd taking part in the Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA's Annual Walk.

28/22 PA live! Co-host Chris Bohinski served as emcee and greeted participants.

The event took participants on a two-mile trek, starting and ending at the Cancer Wellness Center in Forty Fort.

The walk is the center's largest fundraiser of the year.

(WBRE/WYOU)— 28/22 News sat down with former Luzerne County District Attorney Jarret Ferentino to discuss the breaking new details on the case against Kohberger and how he became a suspect.

28/22 News Reporter Gianna Galli sat down with Ferentino, who has appeared on multiple national networks to discuss the ins and outs of the case.

NBC Dateline aired their new two-hour special called "The Terrible Night on King Road" which outlined Kohberger's actions and whereabouts before the case, including an interview of a woman who exchanged phone numbers with Kohberger.

(WBRE/WYOU)— Shocking new details surrounding the Brian Kohberger case have been revealed Friday in a special NBC Dateline report.

The man accused of murdering four University of Idaho students faces trial this summer.

Friday evening, Dateline aired a two-hour special sharing new details, evidence and video that took place before and after the murder.
