PA entertainers you may not know are on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

(WJET/WFXP) – As you walk along Hollywood Boulevard, you will find multiple of the iconic terrazzo and brass stars belonging to celebrities from Pennsylvania.

Stars featured on the Hollywood Walk of Fame fall into one of the following categories of entertainers: motion pictures, television, recording, radio, and live performance.

Household names in motion pictures such as Gene Kelly, Kevin Bacon, Michael Keaton, and Jeff Goldblum find themselves recognized on Hollywood Boulevard, receiving their stars in 1996, 2003, 2016, and 2018 respectively.

Two students hospitalized after stabbing at Pittsburgh high school

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Two students were hospitalized after police responded to a "critical incident" at Carrick High School Wednesday morning.

Pittsburgh Public Safety confirmed that two students were stabbed in their abdomens, while a third has slight lacerations.

The actor, a male student, also suffered a laceration and was treated at the scene. He was then taken into custody.

The school was immediately placed on lockdown following the incident.

Driver dies, ejected from car after crash

BUCKINGHAM TWP., WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police say a driver was killed during a crash after he was ejected from his vehicle.

PSP reported on September 1 that a crash had happened on State Route 191 (Hancock Highway) in Buckingham Township, Wayne County.

Police say woman held against her will in Duryea

DURYEA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have revealed there was a report of a woman being held against her will and not being allowed to leave a home in Duryea.

According to police, they were dispatched to the 100 block of Foote Avenue in Duryea around 5:30 on Tuesday for a report of a woman being held against her will.

Police say they made contact with a 47-year-old man and a woman in the home, and that the woman was signaling behind the man that she needed help.
