Swoyersville council member allegedly vandalized cabin with homophobic message

APOLACON TWP., SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Swoyersville council member is being charged after state police say he vandalized a hunting cabin with a homophobic message.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, in April, troopers received a report of a hunting cabin being damaged. A member of the cabin claimed 48-year-old Adam Christian was banned from, and has since been returning and damaging, the property, PSP reported.

(WBRE/WYOU) — The Department of Justice says they have charged a former Assistant Director of Central Pennsylvania Youth Ministries after images were discovered that appeared to have been taken from a hidden camera viewing showers at the facility.

According to Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ministries received a report from a woman who claimed she was “groomed” into a sexual relationship with 51-year-old Daniel Reed, when she was between 14 and 17 years old.

Teen arrested for allegedly stabbing man's face

According to the Scranton Police Department, on July 12, around 3:00 a.m., officers were in the area of Mulberry Street and Kellum Court when a 23-year-old suffering from a stab wound approached them.

Vehicle crashes into Wilkes-Barre Public Square

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A vehicle crashed into Public Square in Wilkes-Barre early Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. for a vehicle that had plowed into Public Square.

28/22 News found police tape surrounding the area and debris scattered across the square, including some granite blocks that had been knocked out of place.
