State-of-the-art facility is being built to fight food insecurity

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A new state-of-the-art facility is being built entirely to help fight food insecurity.

Meals on Wheels of NEPA officially broke ground Friday morning on its new home in Scranton.

The long-awaited relocation to Cherry Street will feature a high-efficiency commercial kitchen designed to double the organization`s current meal production of more than 1,500 meals daily.

Their executive director says this will empower them to dream bigger, do more, and ultimately serve more people than ever before.

NEPA DAs discuss Charlie Kirk murder case investigation

(WBRE/WYOU) — The investigation into the murder of political activist Charlie Kirk continues to move forward with the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson of Utah.

As federal and state investigators build their case, we speak with three District Attorneys from NEPA about the case: Luzerne County D.A. Sam Sanguedolce and Lackawanna County D.A. Brian Gallagher and Wyoming County D.A. Joe Peters.

They give us their perspectives on the investigation. The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick reports live on 28-22 News.
