Friday's announcement by Constellation Energy comes five years after its then-parent company shut down the plant, saying it was losing money. The plant is located on an island in the Susquehanna River just outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was the site of the nation’s worst commercial nuclear power accident in 1979.

WYOMING, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A 34-year-old man is facing charges after attempting to defraud a Luzerne County bank, according to the Wyoming Area Regional Police Department.

34-year-old Nolan Emory is being charged with felony counts of Forgery, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Receiving Stolen Property among other charges.

SUNBURY — A Northumberland County jury found a Sunbury woman guilty of felony aggravated cruelty to animals and not guilty of two felony counts of endangering the welfare of children after a one-day trial Friday.
