Take the 'Trolley Through Time' on limited excursion

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Electric City Trolley Museum will offer a special "then and now" trolley excursion on the historic Laurel Line on Saturday, April 26.

The excursion will follow the intercity route of the Lackawanna and Wyoming Valley Railroad that once connected Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.

Motormen John Sheerin and Bob Young will host informative journeys along the interurban rail line at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.

Former officer arrested for allegedly impersonating police

WILKES-BARRE TWP. LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A former Schuylkill County police officer is accused of getting caught impersonating an officer to police.

Wilkes-Barre Township Police say they pulled over 31-year-old Angel Abreu-Nunez after they saw his truck had a fraudulent/counterfeit Pennsylvania Temporary License Plate.

During the stop, police said Abreu-Nunez identified himself as an off-duty officer and provided a Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission identification card for a police department in Schuylkill County.

Several packets of meth seized from apartment, woman arrested

BERWICK, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman was arrested after police say they discovered her selling methamphetamine from her apartment in Pennsylvania.

Berwick Police: Erin Houseweart

According to the Berwick Police Department, in March officers started an investigation into 30-year-old Erin Houseweart for selling methamphetamine out of an apartment complex in the 900 block of West Front Street in Berwick.
