NANTICOKE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Luzerne County High School fundraised for an upcoming candy classic show it will be putting on in March.
A craft and vendor show held at the Greater Nanticoke Area High School featured more than 40 vendors to help the Drama Club raise money for their spring production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Spring and March merchandise for St. Patrick's Day and Easter were on display for people to purchase at the craft fair.
Savory treats and tea were part of a pop-up tea event that took place alongside the event.

MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Moosic Borough Police Department says two people were arrested after officers reportedly found drugs in a truck.
Early February 24 at about 1:30 a.m., an officer from the Moosic Borough Police Department reportedly observed a suspicious white truck pulled off the side of the road in the 4500 block of Birney Ave in Moosic.
Officials say a woman, later identified as Madison Mooney, was shaking a man, later identified to be Carlos Reales.

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A community dinner was held Sunday afternoon in Luzerne County to celebrate and honor the last days of Black History Month.
More than 100 people attended the event, which offered multiple different celebratory elements.
Food is usually used as a way to bring people together, but at this NAACP event at the Jewish Community Center in Kingston, so much more was offered beyond a dinner.

MOUNT CARMEL, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— One man was arrested Saturday night after a raid.
Police conducted the raid on the 200 block of North Chestnut Street at 9:42 P.M., according to Officer Feiler of the Mount Carmel Borough Police Department.
Suspect arrested in connection with a stabbing investigation
Authorities deemed the raid successful, and 39-year-old Corey Cannon was arrested on scene.
Police say the raid was scheduled after police were surveilling Cannon for over a year, and had enough evidence to get a search warrant.
