Flames destroyed a garage and significantly damaged a home along Route 171 in Union Dale around 5 p.m. Wednesday, officials say.

LEWISBURG — A second reassessment public meeting will be held Wednesday night at the Union County Government Center.Tyler Technologies, of Texas, will host the meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. at the government center, 155 N. 15th St., Lewisburg. The goal is to present information and answer questions about the county’s first reassessment since 2006.The county contracted with Tyler Technologies at $1,376,564 through Nov. 15, 2027, to conduct a reassessment of 17,647 parcels, including 1,100 commercial and more than 16,500 residential and agricultural parcels.
