Dancers at the Scranton Civic Ballet Company have been hard at work practicing for their upcoming shows.

Stroudsburg set to light Christmas Tree

On Wednesday, the Annual Tower Lighting was celebrated by hundreds as they kicked off the holiday season in Downtown Scranton.
More than 400 bulbs are all lit up and illuminating the Electric City.
The traditional lighting is a proper start to the holiday season here in the city.
What sounds like a countdown to the new year is really a kick-off to this year's Christmas season in downtown Scranton.
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Firefighters were on the scene of a fire that broke out causing a partial collapse of a building Wednesday night in Scranton.
Authorities confirmed with 28/22 News the Scranton Fire Department was called shortly before 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night for a reported structure fire.
There was a collapse on the rear side of the building, officials say.
Sergeant Robert Stanek of Scranton Fire Department told 28/22 News crews arrived on scene and found flames coming through the roof of the pallet factory.

Every year before Thanksgiving, they get a tree from a local farm to decorate and display.
This year, they got their tree from Baumgartner Farms in Kunkletown.
Dunkelbergers Tree Service brought it in and Stroudsburg Public Works decorated it.
