State police take over Katlyn Harp investigation

HEMLOCK TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State Police are investigating the disappearance of a Columbia County woman.

33-year-old Katlyn Harp from Hemlock Township went missing last Thursday. She was last seen at her home near Bloomsburg.  

Hemlock Township Police initially began the investigation, but the State Police Criminal Unit from the Bloomsburg Barracks took over the investigation on Sunday.

Party on the Patio rescheduled due to inclement weather

PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Party on the Patio has been rescheduled due to anticipated inclement weather.

According to Mohegan Pennsylvania's website, the Bon Jovi tribute show featuring the band Jay Bon Jovi scheduled for June 26 has been pushed back to June 27.

Guests who purchased premium tickets and attend the show on Friday will have their seats available. Guests who do not come to the rescheduled show will have their tickets refunded through eGiftify.

Giant sinkhole repairs underway in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Multiple crews are working on repairing a massive sinkhole that occurred when a roadway collapsed in Wilkes-Barre.

PennDOT, PPL, Pennsylvania American Water, and Stell Enterprises are all on scene Thursday afternoon, helping restore any lost utilities to neighbors.

Just after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, the road in the 200 block of Horton Street in Wilkes-Barre gave out, nearly taking a construction vehicle with it and narrowly missing taking out a car passing by.
