MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - A teenage student opened fire with a handgun Monday at a Christian school in Wisconsin, killing a teacher and another teenager during the final week before Christmas break. The shooter also died, police said.
The shooting occurred in a study hall and was reported to police by a second grader, police said at a Monday night press conference. Wisconsin police identified the shooter as a 15-year-old female student.
Six others were injured and are being treated at the hospital, including two students who were in critical, life-threatening condition.

PORTER TWP., PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report a 12-year-old has died after a vehicle crash that sent two others to the hospital.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers investigated a one-vehicle crash on Silver Lake Road in Porter Township on December 15 around 8:00 p.m.

Police say the vehicle exited the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. The backseat passenger, a 12-year-old girl from Dingmans Ferry, was pronounced dead on the scene.

POTTSVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is facing charges after police say he assaulted another man by slicing his face with a knife and biting his ear.
According to the Pottsville Police Department, on Saturday, December 14 officers were dispatched after a commotion could be heard in the background of an open 911 call.
Once on the scene, the caller said there was a man in the 400 block of East Market that 31-year-old Albert Costanzo of Pottsville used a knife on another man and the victim suffered lacerations to his face, police stated.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - Law enforcement is at the scene of an incident at the Sylvia H. Rambo U.S. Courthouse on Monday morning on N. 6th Street.
The Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and local police are on the scene where the courthouse is roped off with evidence markers placed around the area.
Dozens of evidence markers could be seen inside the building.

MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Rain and snow made commuters' overnight and morning commutes messy.
Driving in Barrett Township early Monday, dash camera footage shows heavy snow packed down on Route 390.
"The road is crazy. Fog, lots of fog. The visibility is very poor." said Baltimore Anderson, Philadelphia.
Areas like Barrett and Pocono Township saw more than three inches. That mixed with some rain led to a heavy cleanup for plow truck drivers.

SUGARLOAF, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — PennDOT has announced Route 93 from the intersection of Pecora Road to the intersection of Rock Glen Road will be closed due to a down utility pole.
PennDOT says the projected time of reopening the road is at noon.
