LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — PennDOT stated that there will be rolling roadblocks on Interstate 81 northbound in Luzerne County starting Thursday, August 28.
PennDOT says the roadblocks will be located between Exit 151 (Route 80 Junction) and Exit 155 (Dorrance), beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and continuing until 6:00 a.m. on Friday.

According to the Hazleton City Police Department, 29-year-old Francisco Henriquez is wanted in connection with an incident that occurred in May.

Much of Horton Street is still closed after not one, but two sinkholes opened up in recent months.
The more recent one has since been filled in. The other, not so much. One thing neighbors agree on is that something needs to be done.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A New York-based man has been sentenced to over 15 years in jail after pleading guilty to drug trafficking in Wilkes-Barre.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 42-year-old Jamell R. O'Neal pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl, along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
DURYEA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are looking for an ATV rider who allegedly fled from them in Luzerne County.
On August 14, around 8:49 p.m., Duryea police officers were on patrol in the area of Foote Avenue and Marcy Street when they saw an unregistered yellow ATV.
Police say when the ATV passed officers, the rider turned his head away, "appearing to avoid identification."
