HAZLE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police are investigating a card skimmer discovered at Family Dollar in Luzerne County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, on January 15 around 9:00 a.m., the manager at Family Dollar on Church Street in Halze Township discovered a credit card skimmer on their machine.

(WBRE/WYOU) — Officials have sentenced a man to 90 years after he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Luzerne County.
John Vincent Watson, 48, of Luzerne was sentenced to 90 years in prison for the production of child pornography.
According to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, between October 23 and24, 2021, Watson produced four videos and one image of child pornography in Wilkes-Barre.

CARBON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- There's been another dead deer that has tested for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in Pennsylvania, just a few weeks after officials announced finding other cases in Luzerne County.
This CWD-positive deer was detected in Packer Township, Carbon County, making it the first recorded CWD case in the county, a news release from the Pennsylvania Game Commission states.

According to officers, after a search warrant was conducted they charged Christopher Rash, 39, with child pornography-related charges.

Police say Rash stated he had seen, searched, and produced child pornography.
Rash has been charged with 20 felony counts of child pornography and was denied bail.
