WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Owners of Adelina's say, while they still have some rebuilding to do, for now, they're back open at a new location, and excited to be serving the community again.
Adelina's restaurant has been a staple of Mountain Top for years, and after that fire in May, many in the community were devastated.
The Owners say that without the support they've received from that community, none of this would have been possible.

Crews responded to a structure fire on the unit block of Market Street in Pittston around 9:30 p.m.
Man facing charges after Kingston police chase
Pittston City Fire Chief Frank Roman said that two people escaped the home during the fire, along with their two cats and a dog.
The fire was put out at about 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, and there are no reported injuries.

Kingston Township Police say around 6:15 p.m. on State Route 309 Memorial Highway, an officer was patrolling the area when a white sedan was spotted with a window tint violation, and the driver's license was suspended based on a PennDOT records check.

PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two bridges connecting Pittston to West Pittston are going to look a lot different a few years from now.
Those new changes are set to take shape in the next five or six years. That's when both bridges will be replaced.
"We need to do something that has a nod to at least what was there, but also creates this new jump-off point that somewhere in the future this bridge is going to have historical value," Pittston Mayor Michael Lombardo said.

On August 25, around 7:30 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Gilligan and Brown Streets for a report of gunshots being fired.

NANTICOKE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Plans for a cell phone tower are creating a bit of controversy in a Luzerne County community.
The Nanticoke City Zoning Board will meet this Thursday to consider the construction of a 150-foot communications tower along the 400 block of Kosciuszko Street.
Luzerne County officials probe potential data breach
The applicant, Rise-Up Towers LLC, and the state public school building authority want a zoning variance to allow the tower to be placed on Greater Nanticoke Area School District Property.
