PD: Four pickpocketers wanted for questioning in fraud scheme

MONTOURSVILLE, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say they are searching for four alleged pickpocketers wanted for committing a fraud scheme.

According to the Montoursville Police Department, the people pictured are wanted for questioning concerning a pickpocket-type incident and then credit card fraud.

DA speaks on homicide occurrences across Lycoming County

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — After a series of violent crimes in the area, the Lycoming County District Attorney joined law enforcement and elected officials to discuss arrests and how they plan to fight violence in the area.

On Monday, the county announced the arrest of four people in connection to a double homicide that took place back in January.

Just this past weekend, 15-year-old Ahmeen Palmer was shot and killed in the parking lot of a TGI Friday.

According to officials, this shooting is believed to be gang-related.

Pennsylvania court rules electronic voting data is not subject to release under public records law

A Pennsylvania state court says spreadsheets of raw data associated with every ballot cast in an election aren't subject to public scrutiny. The Commonwealth Court ruled Monday on “cast vote records,” which were requested by an election researcher whose work has fueled right-wing attacks on voting procedures. The 5-2 ruling sides with Secretary of State Al Schmidt, whose office argued against access to these electronic records from Lycoming County for the 2020 General Election.

Residents react after four arrested in Williamsport

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Four people have been arrested and face several charges after a double homicide in Lycoming in January.

In January, Alicia Seese and Ronald Dailey, both 37 years of age, were found shot dead in a car in the middle of the night in Williamsport. Both victims worked together and had left work at the same time on the night of the shooting.

"Glad that they got some resolution. They have an arrest in that we were getting these people off the streets," said Williamsport resident Kim Seely.

15-year-old identified in deadly Lycoming County shooting

LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBREW/WYOU) — After an autopsy, Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling identified the 15-year-old killed in a Loyalsock Township shooting.

The coroner identified the 15-year-old to be Aheem Palmer of Williamsport.

The autopsy found Palmer was shot multiple times in the TGIF parking lot on Saturday evening and was pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m. at UPMC Williamsport, Kiessling explained.

Arrests made, four facing charges in Williamsport double homicide

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Four people are facing charges in connection to a Williamsport double homicide earlier this year.

The Lycoming County District Attorney stated on January 12, the bodies of 37-year-old Alisha Seese and 37-year-old Ronald Dailey were found in a vehicle on Terrace Place early that morning.

On Monday, the following four people are being charged for their alleged involvement in the deaths of the two victims;

PSP investigate second Lycoming County shooting, schools take safety measures

LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Loyalsock and Williamsport School Districts are both taking action after a second shooting in Lycoming County.

The safety measures come after a 15-year-old was shot and killed outside a TGI Friday Saturday evening and a house was shot into near the Loyalsock High School on Randall Circle Sunday night.

So far, state police have not released any details on the Sunday night incident. They have not indicated whether there is a connection between the Saturday evening homicide and the Sunday night shooting.

Teenager killed in shooting in Lycoming County

LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A teenager is dead after a fatal shooting on Saturday night.

Suspect in homicide found dead in Lackawanna County

State police say they were dispatched to 1840 East Third Street in the parking lot of TGI Fridays.

A 15-year-old boy was shot, and died on his way to the hospital, according to troopers.

Pennsylvania State Police say the suspects fled the scene, and that the investigation is ongoing.

Woman charged for alleged abuse of an autistic child

JERSEY SHORE, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have charged a woman from Lycoming County after she allegedly abused an autistic child.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 24-year-old Jeanette Nicole Hunsberger had been temporarily fostering a child for about 10 months.

Court documents state that during the 10 months, the biological mother and stepfather of the child raised several concerns that the child was being abused.

PSP: $286K worth of gold and silver reported stolen in Pa.

LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Lycoming County man has reported the theft of over $250,000 worth of various gold and silver coins, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police.

The 64-year-old victim told state police that his car was broken into around February 10.

The report states $286,550 worth of various gold/silver items and cash were stolen from the vehicle.
