According to the Williamsport Bureau of Police, officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Packer Street for a gunshot fired inside.

Once on the scene, officers said they encountered the suspect, 65-year-old John Joseph Holohan, exiting the home from the back.

LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A truck-mounted mosquito spraying is planned for areas of Lycoming County on Wednesday.

The spray is designed to control adult mosquito populations and is not harmful to humans or other animals.

Police say man tried to pull gun on officers

The following municipalities will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes:

Armstrong Township

Loyalsock Township

Mountoursville

South Williamsport

The spraying will be conducted on the evening of Wednesday, July 23, with a rain date of Thursday, July 24.
