Here's To You Kid! seeking nominations, like Nolan

MONTOURSVILLE, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — 13-year-old Nolan Wurster of Montoursville has loved fire trucks and all things firefighting ever since he can remember.

"My dad took me down to the firehouse one day when I was about four, and I just started liking the fire company," said Nolan.

That visit and many others that followed inspired Nolan to hold fundraisers and donate his birthday money to the Montoursville Fire Department.

His acts of generosity resulted in the firefighting community nominating him in 2024 as a "Here's to You, Kid!"

New scam targets older men, steals over $6 million

LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A warning from area law enforcement: Beware of a computer scam showing up in northeastern and central Pennsylvania. This scam targets a specific demographic, a certain gender, and an age group.

Just when you think you've heard it all when it comes to scams, nd quite frankly, we have all heard a lot in recent years, there's a new scam. It targets older men, usually single older men.

New Chick-fil-A brings traffic change

Thursday, July 31, Chick-fil-A has opened its new location at 186 Maynard Street in Williamsport.

Chick-fil-A officials are addressing the community's concerns about potential traffic issues caused by the grand opening.

Business leaders discuss manufacturing, rural growth in Pa

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Four of Pennsylvania's congressmen gathered at a roundtable with area business leaders earlier Wednesday. It centered around opportunities in northeastern and central Pennsylvania.

At the Pennsylvania College of Technology, a roundtable focusing on energy, manufacturing, and growth in rural communities.

A dozen local business leaders came together to address opportunities and concerns to Republican Congressmen Dan Meuser, Rob Bresnahan, Glen Thompson, and Ryan Mackenzie. Among the topics discussed, the benefits of data centers.
