Over $19K stolen from senior

ANTHONY TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Over $19,000 was stolen from a Lycoming County senior citizen.

Police responded to a reported theft on Anderson Road in Anthony Township, Lycoming County on February 3.

Heavy police presence, West Nanticoke bridge closed

Police say that $19,500 was stolen from a 76-year-old female.

Police say this is an active investigation.

Fire damages fast food restaurant in Lycoming County

LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Thursday night fire left a well-known fast food business damaged.

According to a Pennsylvania State Police press release, crews were called to 1739 East Third Street around 9:12 p.m. for smoke coming from Long John's Silvers.

Fire damages four Northumberland County homes

Officials say that when they arrived on-scene, they found the building on fire.

A PSP fire marshal conducted an investigation later that night which determined the fire to be an accidental electrical fire.

Two found dead, investigation underway

COGAN HOUSE TWP., LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police are investigating an incident after two people have been reported dead.

On February 5 around 3:30 p.m., troopers were called to investigate an incident on Post Road in Cogan Township, Lycoming County.

Driver charged with DUI after tractor-trailer gets stuck

Police say a 68-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man were found dead. Details on the incident are limited at this time.
