Communities across Central Pennsylvania are cleaning up after Sunday's snowstorm buried much of the area with about a foot of snow.

SUNBURY — Northumberland County is activating a "Code Blue" and offering up to 50 people a place to stay during the frigid temperatures expected to begin tonight.

SUNBURY — A shortage of attorneys in the Northumberland County District Attorney’s Office and the public defender’s office, combined with increased caseloads, is leading to a crisis, according to officials.

Northumberland County Chief Clerk Nate Savidge said the county will extend hours at all senior centers during the cold snap. Five centers will open Monday at 8:30 a.m.
