OLD FORGE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An Old Forge home has turned into a Halloween attraction, packed with giant decorations and glowing lights.

A towering green ghoul looms over the front yard while skeletons crawl out of graves.

Pumpkins glow, a skeleton dog snarls on an orange leash, and spooky figures fill every corner of the lawn.

Schuykill County ordinances aim to protect residents from data centers

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, SCHUYKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Many communities are pushing back against data center development, but one township in our area is taking a proactive approach to the centers, passing two new ordinances on Monday in an attempt to protect their community.

Traffic flowing again on Interstate 81 after canola oil leak

MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Traffic is now flowing again on Interstate 81 Southbound after authorities say crews were cleaning up a canola oil spill in Moosic.

Lackawanna County officials on Monday confirmed 28/22 News crews were called after a tractor-trailer that was leaking canola oil at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities say it's unknown at this time what led to the leak, but they don't believe it's the result of a crash.

Firehouse Concessions set up shop at the fire department as part of their traveling fundraiser.

The group works within a two-hour radius of Waverly, New York, supporting dozens of fire departments along the way.
