Luzerne County missing teen found

CONYNGHAM TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A teen who disappeared while hunting with his father in Luzerne County is safe.

State police say 16-year-old Blake Hicks got lost Monday morning near Sawmill Road in Conyngham Township.

Arrest made in Columbia County homicide investigation

Crews searched through the night using helicopters, drones, and a specialized wilderness rescue team.

Officials confirm Hicks was found early Tuesday morning and has been reunited with his family.

PINE TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police say they arrested a person in a Columbia County homicide investigation.

Troopers say that through their investigation, they arrested 16-year-old Adam Bartosic from Pine Township in the homicide investigation.

Carbon County woman pleads guilty in Whitehall homicide investigation

State police stated Bartosic has been charged as an adult and was arraigned on one count of homicide.

Hazle Township road reopens after crash, diesel fuel spill

HAZLE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State Route 924 in Hazle Township is now reopened after officials say a crash sent a man to the hospital and led to a diesel fuel spill.

Officials with the Luzerne County Communications Center confirmed that crews were called to the 500 block of Can Do Expressway, or State Route 924, for a tractor-trailer crash at about 7:00 p.m.

YMCA collects Halloween costume donations in Dunmore

DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Greater Scranton YMCA in Dunmore is kicking off its Inaugural Halloween Costume Drive. The YMCA is accepting new and gently used costumes in sizes that range from infant all the way up to adult.

You can stop and make a donation starting Monday, September 22, until Monday, October 6.

Following that, families can pick up costumes from October 7 through October 9.
