SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — In Lackawanna County, Johnson College's Carpentry and Cabinetmaking Technology Program hosted an auction to benefit the children's advocacy center of NEPA.
More than 70 items were available to bid on, including cutting boards, benches, and custom woodwork.
All the items up for grabs were created by students in the carpentry & cabinetmaking technology program.
Many products were even made from re-purposed material.

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two shootings in less than 24 hours are under investigation in Luzerne County.
"It was about two in the afternoon, at, I was in the backyard, and I heard about four to five gunshots go off," Hanover Township resident Brian Angeli.
There were two shootings within a few block areas near the Hanover Township Wilkes-Barre border on Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday.

WEST PERRY TOWNSHIP, SNYDER COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say six dirt bikes and a pickup truck were stolen from a Snyder County home.
PSP say in a release sent out on April 24 that around 9:30 a.m., troopers were called on April 12 to the 1600 block of Middle Road in West Perry Township for a reported theft.
Luzerne County forms Government Study Commission
Authorities say six dirt bikes, a 2011 white Ford F150, and other related items were stolen from the home.
State police say an investigation into this incident is ongoing.
