28/22 NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — In that fiery campaign ad out on Monday, Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced she'll be running for governor of Pennsylvania next year. That ad took aim at current Governor Josh Shapiro, calling some of his decisions as governor "unconscionable."
Garrity has served as Pennsylvania's treasurer since 2021. Now, though, nearly halfway through her second term, she has her eyes set on the state's top spot, but victory won't come easily.
Before Garrity can go up against Governor Shapiro, she'll have to win the Republican primary.
